Rehabilitation Training - Fitness On Prescription

Whether recovering from an operation, dealing with the after effects of an accident or managing chronic pain, rehabilitation training can speed up the recovery process and quickly get you back to normal everyday life. We offer a broad range of prescribable medical services and effective treatments. Specific medical conditions that can be helped with rehabilitation training include conditions affecting the spine and the musculoskeletal system, knee, hip and shoulder complaints, arthrosis, osteoporosis, artificial joints, back pain, ankylosing spondylitis, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Orthopaedic back training sessions are also available in the KINEMA Sports School. The back course is divided into 9 units with each one lasting approx. 60 minutes.

Putting too much strain on one side of the body, excess weight, a sedentary lifestyle and poor postural habits are the main  causes of back pain. After respiratory infections, back pain is the second most common reason why people visit the doctor. Our coaches will instruct you on how to adopt health-conscious habits and will practice specific movement patterns with you that are intended to prevent back problems, overcome existing complaints and prevent chronic pain. The objective is to both mobilise the back muscles and to strengthen the associated muscle loops.

Back Training as an Example

Anyone with statutory health insurance who suffers from problems, pain and limitations every day can discuss the possibility of a referral for rehabilitation training with their doctor. It is usually the case that the doctor will prescribe 50 units of rehabilitation training which need to be undertaken within 18 months. Following an outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation programme, the doctor can refer you again for further treatment.
